Every capture that comes off a site flows through the backend: ingested, processed, stored, and served back as a record customers can query. As a Backend Developer you build and own the services that make that path reliable at scale.

What you’ll do

  • Build and maintain services across the pipeline — ingest, processing, storage and serving.
  • Design and ship APIs that the web app, the mobile capture app and the AI pipeline depend on.
  • Model data and manage storage across relational, spatial and object stores; keep queues and jobs moving.
  • Own reliability and observability for what you ship — it runs on real projects, so it has to stay up.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong backend fundamentals — data modelling, APIs, systems thinking — over any specific language.
  • Solid experience with web services and databases in production.
  • Go, Python or TypeScript (our stack), or a track record of picking up new stacks fast.
  • Cairo-based, hybrid.

Nice to have

  • Geospatial data / PostGIS.
  • Event streaming (Kafka, Pub/Sub) and large media pipelines.
  • Cloud infrastructure, ideally GCP.
